Position Overview
Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Representative
Position Overview

As our newest team member, you’ll be part detective, part educator, and all-around chimney care enthusiast.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Answer phone calls professionally, addressing customer inquiries and creating value in each interaction.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for inspections, sweeps, repairs, and installations.
- Gather essential information for technicians and office staff.
- Assist customers with financing applications, providing necessary information and explaining loan options.
Office Management & Administration
- Ensure SDS sheets, technician binders, SharePoint, and SOPs are up-to-date and accessible.
- Maintain an accurate customer database with up-to-date contact information.
- Process payments and manage invoices – including obtaining purchase orders.
- Manage email and message correspondence with customers and vendors.
- Keep tax rates updated monthly, verifying with the DFA.
- Coordinate service schedules for each company van.
- Schedule unassigned jobs from the CRM system.
Team Support
- Verify technicians are completing assigned tasks, including customer contact, estimates, and purchase orders.
- Ensure job completion and payment collection by technicians.

Lead Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and knowwledgeable Lead Technician to perform chimney inspections, repairs, and installations while leading and training assistant technicians. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Duties
- Conduct Level 1 and Level 2 chimney inspections according to NFPA 211 standards and company policy
- Perform chimney sweeps, repairs, and installations of gas and wood-burning appliances
- Assess and address water and gas leaks
- Complete masonry work on chimneys, exterior crowns, and chases as needed
- Maintain extensive knowledge of company products and industry codes
Safety and Equipment Management
- Set up and properly use safety equipment for self and assistant technicians
- Manage and maintain company van, tools, and technology (cell phones, tablets)
- Ensure proper setup of ladders, scaffolding, and protective materials at job sites
Customer Service and Communication
- Explain inspection findings, reports, and proposals to homeowners
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the entire process
- Conduct follow-up calls with customers regarding sent proposals
Administrative Tasks
- Write detailed inspection reports and repair proposals

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
- Measure, mark, and arrange brick, stone, and similar materials
- Mix and spread mortar or grout
- Construct walls, partitions, arches, fireplaces, chimneys, and other structures
- Create decorative stone or brickwork such as walkways, patios, and retaining walls
- Install and anchor stone veneer and other masonry materials
Repair and Restoration
- Repair and maintain existing masonry structures
- Repoint mortar joints in brick or stone walls – particularly chimneys
- Perform restoration work on historic structures
Tools and Equipment
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools specific to masonry work
